Doris (Thornton) Thomas

Doris Thomas, 84, of North Versailles, died peacefully Monday June 5, 2023 with her family by her side.  She was born in McDonald, PA to the late William and Elizabeth Thornton.  She was also preceded in death by her 6 siblings; William Thornton, Elizabeth Lovell, Lena Batch, Richard Thornton, Peg Finley and Kenneth Thornton.

She was a dedicated wife and mother.  Doris loved the Lord and her family.  She enjoyed cooking and shopping.

On October 27, 1965, she married the love of her life Michael E. Thomas, Sr. with whom she shared over 57 and a half years.

Surviving is her loving husband Rev. Michael E. Thomas, Sr.  She is the mother of Orlando Enrique of Pa., Michelle (Michael) Walker of Copley, Ohio, Treva (Chris) of North Versailles, Michael of New York and Jonathan of Indiana, Pa.; five grandsons and one great grandson.

Sister of Madlyn (Jimmy) Bower, Jean Turner, Lionel Thornton, and Jerry (Karen) Thornton.  Additional, she has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday June 10th   from 10 AM until time of the funeral service starting at Noon at Just Right Ministries, 400 Westinghouse Avenue, Wilmerding, PA 15148.  A private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Robert P.
