“It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.” – Babe Ruth
Jack Stoner, age 25, of Braddock Hills died unexpectedly on May 17, 2021. Somewhere behind the athlete, behind the coaches, and behind the hours of practice, is a kid that fell in love with the game and never looked back. Jack was that athlete, he was the kid you could always find out on the field with his teammates, his band of brothers, doing what he loved most; playing softball. Jack was the beloved son of Leslie (Kareis) (Paulie) Stoner and the late Jack Stoner; loving brother of Leighann (Eric) Manion, Jessica (Jim) Popp and Taylor (Evan) Lucas. He was an amazing uncle to Jace, Aurora, Jordan and E.J.; caring boyfriend to Starr DeJesus; nephew to Matt (Michelle) Kareis; cousin to Jackie (Tony) Parasky, Michael Simko, Zack (Anne) Simko, and Caitlin (Cody) Hayden, an adored friend to so many. Jack was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Doris (Herd) Kareis and Jack Stoner; his uncle Paul Kareis and aunt Cathy Stoner. To say he will be missed is quite the understatement. Although his time on earth was cut short, we know heaven gained the most perfect angel whose memories will live on in all of us forever. Family and friends will be received on Friday May 21 from 1-3pm and 5pm until the time of service at 7pm; at the Robert P. Karish Funeral Home, Inc., Brinton Road and Fourth Street, Braddock Hills. (412)271-3430.
