Laverne Mae (Smith) Byzek

Laverne Mae Byzek, age 71, of Braddock Hills passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday January 13, 2023.  She was born in McKeesport to the late George and Vera Smith.  Laverne was preceded in death by her husband James Byzek.  She is survived by her son Paul (Denise) Byzek of Braddock Hills and her grandchildren Bridgett (Cris Sharpley) Byzek and Savannah Byzek, both from Braddock Hills.  Sister of Kathleen (Beach) Aten of Texas, Jack (Valentina) Smith of Florida, and Carol (Vince) Voci of Pittsburgh. Family and Friends will be received at the Robert P. Karish Funeral Home, Inc., Brinton Road and Fourth Street, Braddock Hills (412-271-3430) on WEDNESDAY ONLY January 18th from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.
