Dan and the Yazvac Family,

I barely knew your dad, having met him maybe once or twice briefly. My mom grew up in Braddock Hills, though, and the Croatian and Slovak genes run deep in that neck of the woods. Thus I felt - and feel - a family connection to this gentleman, your father, who passed on the blessing of his own children to the world.

I can guess Mr. Yazvac took on life as an unassuming member of the Greatest Generation, while adding plenty of his own 'salt' to the recipe. And when I look at the photo of him on this memorial page, the lines of age and hard work are melted behind the eyes and smile.

God bless him and all of you,
Matt

Thank you Matt. You just made me smile (and cry) a bit. I just saw this and hadn’t realized you had posted such a poignant condolence. God bless you and yours. Your buddy for life, Dan
